Stand Stitch (also known as Ridge Doubles)

Foundation: Make any number of chain stitches (+3 more chain stitches)

Step 1: Turn, so you work in the back of your foundation chain; make 1 dc in each chain across, including 1st chain stitch

Step 2: Turn; work in back loop only, and make 1 dc in each stitch across, including 1st stitch in row

Repeat Step 2 for pattern

Spider Crochet Stitch

Foundation: Make an even number of chain stitches (+2 more chain stitches)

Step 1: Make (1 sc + chain 1 + 1 sc) in 3rd chain from hook

Step 2: Make (1 sc + chain 1 + 1 sc) in 2nd chain from hook

Repeat Step 2 across rose to last chain stitch; make 1 sc in last chain

Step 3: Chain 2, turn

Step 4: Make (1 sc + chain 1 + 1 sc) in each chain 1 space across row; make 1 sc in top of turning chain at end of row

Repeat Steps 3 & 4 to continue all over pattern

Square Motif Pattern 102214B

Step 1: Chain 4; make 3 double crochet stitches in 1st chain (3 skipped chain count as 1st dc)

Step 2: Chain 4, slip stitch in 2nd chain from hook to make picot, chain 2

Step 3: Make 4 dc in 1st chain ever made - see Step 1 - This will be the center of your square

Repeat Steps 2 & 3 around so you have 4 sets of 3 dc in 1st stitch; end with Step 2 and join with a slip stitch to top chain of 1st chain 3 in round

Step 4: Chain 1, make 1 sc in same space; sc in next stitch

Step 5: Chain 5, make 1 sc in each of next 2 dc

Triple Crochet Cluster Stitch

a. yarn over (twice), insert hook where indicated

b. yarn over, draw up a loop

c. yarn over, draw through 2 loops on hook (twice), leaving 1 loop remaining on hook from stitch

d. Repeat Steps a - c until you have desired number of stitches as indicated, with remaining loops from them on your hook

e. yarn over, draw through all loops on hook

Note: You should have 1 more loop on hook than stitches you made, so for a 2 stitch triple crochet cluster, you will have 3 loops on your hook, and for a 7 stitch triple crochet cluster, you will have 8 loops on your hook


Step 6: Make one 2 stitch triple crochet cluster in next chain 2 space (before picot), chain 10, make one 2 stitch triple crochet cluster in following chain 2 space (after picot)

Step 7: Make 1 sc in each of next 2 dc, chain 5, make 1 sc in each of next 2 dc

Repeat Steps 6 & 7 around, ending with Step 6 and joining with a slip stitch to 1 sc in round

Step 8: Slip stitch in next sc and into chain 5 loop

Step 9: Chain 4 (counts as 1st triple); make a 7 stitch triple crochet cluster in chain 5 loop, chain 1 to close cluster

Step 10: Make 7 dc + picot (chain 2, slip stitch in 1st chain) + 7 dc in next chain 10 loop, to make corner

Step 11: Make one 7 stitch triple crochet cluster in next chain 5 loop + chain 1 to close cluster

Repeat Steps 10 & 11 around, ending on Step 10; join with a slip stitch to top of 1st cluster in round

Square Motif Pattern 100814

Step 1: Chain 8 (+3 more chain stitches)

Step 2: Make 1 dc in 5th chain from hook, followed by 1 dc in 4th chain from hook, working over the 1st dc to make the second one

Step 3: Make 1 dc in 2nd chain from hook, followed by 1 dc in missed chain, working over 1st dc to make 2nd dc

[Repeat Step 3 across row, ending with 1 dc in last chain]

Step 4: Chain 1, turn; sc in each stitch across and in top of turning chain; chain 3, turn

Step 5: Make 1 dc in 2nd sc from hook, followed by 1 dc in missed sc, working over 1st dc to make 2nd dc

[Repeat Step 5 across row, ending with 1 dc in last stitch

Step 6: Repeat Steps 4 & 5 one more time

Step 7: Chain 1, (Working around perimeter of square) make 2 sc around each dc on side; make 1 sc in each sc on side, until you reach the corner

Step 8: Make 3 sc in corner

Step 9: Make 1 sc in each stitch across until you reach the next corner; make 3 sc in corner

[Repeat Step 7 (omitting chain 1 at beginning); Repeat Steps 8 & 9 one more time, ending with 3 sc in corner and slip stitching into 1st sc of round

Note: Work corner (3 sc) in last chain from bottom corner

Step 10: Chain 1,make 1 sc in same stitch

Step 11: Chain 3, sc in next stitch

[Repeat Step 11 around, ending with chain 3 and joining with a slip stitch to 1st sc in round

Step 12: Slip stitch into next chain 3 space; chain 1, sc in same place

[Repeat Step 11 around, Repeat Steps 12 & 11 around one more time]

Step 1: Chain 4, make a ring by slip stitching not 1st chain

Step 2: Chain 6 (counts as 1 dc + 3 chain stitches)

Step 3: Chain 3, make (1 dc + chain 3) in center of ring 3 times

Step 4: Join with slip stitch to 3rd chain from bottom of 1st chain 6

Step 5: Make a bead stitch {yarn over, insert hook in desired space, yarn over (draw up a loop 3 times), yarn over, draw through all except last 2 loops on hook, yarn over, draw through last 2 loops on hook} around post of same dc where slip stitch was joined

Step 6: Make 5 triple in next chain 3 space, followed by a bead stitch around post of next dc

[Repeat Steps 6 around, ending with 5 triple in last chain 3 space and joining with a slip stitch to top chain of 1st bead in round

Step 7: Chain 3, make 2 more dc in same stitch

Step 8: Chain 2, make 3 more dc in same stitch at top of bead - Steps 7 & 8 make 1st corner in round

Step 9: Chain 2, make 1 sc in 3rd triple from hook, chain 2

Step 10: Make corner (3dc + chain 2 + 3 dc) in top of next bead stitch

[Repeat Steps 9 & 10 around, ending with Step 9 and joining with a slip stitch to top chain of 1st chain 3 in round]

Step 11: Slip stitch into each of next 2 stitches and into chain 2 space

Step 12: Chain 3, make 2 dc in same place; chain 2, make 3 dc in same place (beginning corner made)

Step 13: Chain 2, make bead stitch in next chain 2 space (twice)

Step 14: Chain 2, make corner (3 dc + chain 2 + 3 dc) in next corner

[Repeat Steps 13 & 14 around ending with Step 13 and joining with a slip stitch to top of 1st chain 3 in round]

Step 15: Repeat Steps 11 & 12 to make corner in next round

Step 16: (1st side) Chain 2, make 3 triple in next chain space; make 1 bead in space between 2 beads in previous round, make 3 triple in last chain 2 space, chain 2

Step 17: Make corner (3 dc + chain 2 + 3 dc) in chain 2 space at corner

[Repeat Steps 16 & 17 around, joining with a slip stitch to top chain of 1st chain 3 in round]
